Multi-Photo Posts help you schedule multiple photos and videos in a single post, giving you the flexibility to show off more of your products and share beautiful and engaging content with your audience.

Important: Multi-photo posts are only available on paid plans and are required to be published via Later's mobile notification due to Instagram's API limitations.

Multi-photo posts can only be scheduled from the desktop Later app.

Each social platform has its own limits for multi-photo posts:

  • Instagram: up to 10 images or videos
  • Facebook: up to 10 images
  • Twitter: up to 4 images

For Facebook and Twitter, a combination of photos and videos is not possible within the same post.

Note: Pinterest does not currently allow multi-photo posts.

How to Schedule a Multi-Photo Post

Using Later on the Web:

Important: Instagram requires all of the photos and videos to be the same crop (square, landscape or portrait). Otherwise, Instagram will automatically crop all the photos to the ratio of the first image -- keep this in mind while crafting your carousel post!

Step 1: Select your images

From your Media Library, hover over the photos and videos you'd like to include in your post, and select the checkmark to add them to your post in the order you'd like them to appear.

Drag the selected media items onto your calendar or click 'Multi-Photo Post' to schedule.

Step 2: Create your post

From here, you can crop your images, or drag and drop the photos and videos to rearrange the order.

Finally, write your caption, adjust the posting time if needed, and hit Save!

Using the Later App on iOS or Android:

Step 1: Select Your Images

Head to your Media Library in the Later app, then press and hold on the first image you want in your carousel post; once it's selected, choose the other images you want in your post, in the order that you want them to appear.

Step 2: Create Your Post

Click Create Post and choose the profile you want to schedule the post for.

From here, you can write your caption, access your Saved Captions, or press 'Reorder Media Items' to rearrange the images in your carousel post.

Hit Next, pick the date and time you'd like to schedule your post, and you're done! You've successfully scheduled a carousel post on the Later app!
