Multi-Photo Posts help you schedule multiple photos and videos in a single post, giving you the flexibility to show off more of your products and share beautiful and engaging content with your audience.

Important: Multi-photo posts are only available on paid plans.

Each social platform has its own limits for multi-photo posts:

  • Instagram: up to 10 images or videos
  • Facebook: up to 10 images
  • Twitter: up to 4 images

For Facebook and Twitter, a combination of photos and videos is not possible within the same post.

Note: Pinterest does not currently allow multi-photo posts.

How to Schedule a Multi-Photo Post:

Important: Instagram requires all of the photos and videos to be the same crop (square, landscape or portrait). Otherwise, Instagram will automatically crop all the photos to the ratio of the first image -- keep this in mind while crafting your carousel post!

Step 1: Select your images

From your Media Library, hover over the photos and videos you'd like to include in your post, and select the checkmark to add them to your post.

Drag the selected media items onto your calendar or click 'Multi-Photo Post' to schedule.

Step 2: Create your post

From here, you can crop your images, or drag and drop the photos and videos to rearrange the order.

Finally, write your caption, adjust the posting time if needed, and hit Save!

Publishing a Multi-Photo Post to Instagram:

Just like with single image posts, Later cannot automatically publish your post. You will receive a mobile notification with your multi-photo post at the scheduled time!

However, posting a multi-photo post works a little differently from posting a single image, as Instagram does not allow multiple photos to be opened automatically. When you click Open in Instagram, you’ll need to go to your Library or Gallery tab to select your images and videos to post.

Step 1: Open the notification and open the post in Instagram

You will be able to tell this is a multi-photo post, as the post is marked by a multiple image icon in the top right corner.

Important: If you have more than one Instagram account, make sure you're logged into the right one before opening the post in Instagram!

Step 2: Go to the Library or Gallery tab on Instagram

The post will open to reveal your Photo tab (don’t panic -- the post is there!)

From here you will need to toggle to the Library (for iOS) or Gallery (for Android) tab in your Instagram app.

Step 3: Select the photos and videos

The photos will be in your Library or Gallery tab, in the order your scheduled them.

Long press on the first image or tap the multiple photo icon, and select all the images and videos in the desired order up until the stop marker.

Step 4: Paste in your caption and hit Publish

Finally, hit Next, paste in the caption that Later automatically copied for you, and publish your post!

And that's it! You've successfully scheduled and published a multi-image post on Later!
